Cambodia - July 2010 (part I)

Went off for Cambodia. A place full with majestic old building from the ancient kingdom. I can merely note down some of our itinerary here since it was a story happened a yr ago (due to my poor memory constraint. hehe..)
We went for 7 days in total. First day to start off out journey, Mr.Cxxxx came all the way from Malacca at wee hour to pick me up to go to LCCT together. We had our must-go corner (McDonald's freak) to fill up our stomach before on board to the plane.

- Sky view early in the morning, breathtaking -

- and finally, here we go! The land of Cambodia, Siem Reap International Airport of Cambodia.. -

First thing to do when arrive was to look for our Mr.Tour guide + tuk tuk driver for our whole stay in Siem Reap who we have booked earlier - Mr.Sam.
He welcomed us with warmth-hearted smile and that's where we started our journey to discover Cambodia! Excited-nya~..

1st stop to go was our guesthouse - Bou Savvy. This place is nice! Staff there were friendly too. I like the truthfulness of Cambodian. After few hours rest in Guesthouse, Sam brought us to the well-known tourism spot - AngKor Wat. We bought the 3 days pass for the compound visit.

- Tiny me with the magnificent sculptured building which left by ancestor -

- Fall in love with the blue sky in Cambodia. It was fascinating for sure! -

- can you feel the awesomeness of the art of sculpture? and they all are still clearly visible -

I wish to upload more pics about my 1st day in Siam Reap in here. But sadly the whole version of photos ain't locate in my pc now. So i have to recall my 1st day without showing pics. Apology for that.....

1st day of the Angkor wat visit has ended with tiredness. But we did not miss any single moment of their night life activities in Siem Reap town. So we decided to walk all the way from our Guesthouse to the town centre. We enjoyed the tranquility and peaceful night time in Siem Reap, and the warmth smiles from the people, I can't merely describe my feeling here without you to have a real experience to this land. So, be sure to tick Cambodia as one of your travel list. ^^
We tried the local cuisines, handcrafts as souvenirs, and many more exciting moments. I miss those time alot and alot to be frank.. - First day ended-

Coming weekends

Coming weekends activities:
i) Sat - Team building in Kepong FRIM (whole day event, have to gather at Cyber before 7.30am early in the morning)
ii) Sun - whole day birthday celebration for friend in Melacca (day trip, so have to depart early in the morning to get her a surprise)
iii) Mon - Public holiday in Malaysia. My replacement class for Ballet has set to odd timing (mid of day time) really jialat.
Above schedules might full with programmes and lots of fun. In fact, i prefer to stay home and enjoy my peaceful weekends rather than above.
** Today's lunch break was longer than usual (typical Friday for Malaysia work force culture i suppose) so i had mine in a hidden place. I found the place there is tranquil, eating alone isn't that bad and lonely indeed. But the food was just moderate rating. I went to nearby Giant after my peaceful lunch, dangling around the place and was enjoying sole windows shopping. Though it was just a quick one. Hehe..
Oh ya, today is as well the last day of my workshop training and our trainer is leaving M'sia tonight. He is so eager to step back his homeland and reunite with his beloved wife and family. Everyone in the class could sense that. He is a nice guy, but....hmm..somehow i do think that he is abit un-friendly.. Might becoz of my self-autistic effect gua..but anyway, who cares??  -  by V.L

Symantec Training

Whole week of Symantec Training makes me feel like dying. Lots to digest and lots more works are flowing into my secured area (i could sense that). Many many concerns about work lately but i do not want to share it out here. My blog will only share out the happy yet simple life stories of mine. Hmm..frens are getting married 1 by one. Invitation cards are coming to my hands one by one. Feel happy though, at least i could get a chance to dress up myself nicely and enjoy the restaurant dishes which i rarely taste them at common. Lol..but $$ oso spend alot for this month.
Can't wait for the X'mas on next month. Seeing some shops are having the X'mas ambiance make me feel great. But its sad too. Meaning my birthday is just around the corner. :( My 2xth. Aiks... Nothing huge happened during this week. Its the last week of Nov 2011. Kind of upset coz time passes really fast! I haven't set my goal of life to myself on the coming 2012 though.
Initial goal plan of 2012 (hehe...):
- Travel to Sri Lanka
- Able to apply NZ visa and depart at the end of the yr
- able to put myself happy every day and cut off my hot temper
- able to start up my online garments business
are these considered as goals of life ar? Seems like abit ambitionless. haha... typical VL

A place with memories

I went for friend's wedding on last Sunday which every couples are eager to have their big day on such a memorable yet special day [20.11.2011]. Not really sure how special the day was actually. Lol... So i drove all the way from KL to Melaka (a place for me to recall all the sweet&bitter memories) for the wedding lunch.
After a night which i was able to sleep for not more than 5 hours, drove to Tropicana City Mall to pick up Auyong, my best buddy during high school where we always being known as "couple" at those days). Had my quick breakfast in Uncle John inside the shopping centre, and then we started our journey to the south. We talked alot about our recent life stories, jokes, and had had lots of fun along the journey.
1.30pm sharp arrived destination. It is a golf club located at a place call Jasin. Believe not so well-known to the public. But poor both of us have waited for almost 2 hours by sitting there and do nothing just to wait for the food to be served. My bride friend, May. She was my ex EP housemate when i was study in College. Not really into her gang but appreciate what she has contribute to her wedding invitation very much.. Wishing all the best to her marriage ^^
Met Miss Mel and she told me that she is currently working in KL centre and still staying in Seremban. Abit shock when knowing she need to travel far long from Seremban to work in kl every day. We did not finish the wedding meal till the end of the event. Went off in the middle of the way coz we both really feel bored and couldn't wait for our "short" shopping spree......kakaka..
We went to MP afterwards, thats where i spent my $$ without second thought. =.= The familiarity when steping into the MP compound has revived me those memories once again. My tears dropped unattended on every corner i passed by. After the treat from Auyong in Starbucks, i brought her to the gogo jetty. She was amazed by the night scene over there. I was once again feeling sad coz the fun, the ppl i've came across has now changed. We sat down and enjoy the peaceful of the night. But it started to rain when we were about to order our drinks. Lol..
Get home at about 11pm++. Feel exhausted after a long journey and my back is aching now! =.=''

Wayupak Montra

I think I am being amazed and fall for Thai lakorn recently. Believe this must because of my last month visit to Bangkok, Thailand. and so happen that I downloaded PPStream apps in my iphone and i was so curious abt the Thai lakorn. Thats where and when i start to fall in love with one of the most famous Thai lakorn in Thailand. This is the drama which is a mass production from one of the Thai main TV channel company. The drama is actually the signature of 40th yr anniversary of the TV channel production company. And it has 4 different stories from the quaddruplets individually.
wish to share with you one of the story in one of the quadruplets.
<< Wayupak Montra >>
I love the interlude song of this drama..which sang by Rose sirintip (apology if i spelled it wrongly) Keep playing the song non-stop whenever i turn on my pc. Lol... and of coz, the hero in this drama wasn't really my cup of tea, but he is cute and gentle. ^^ and the heroin, i like the way she dress up herself. Her appearance is the one i always want for..kakaka.. "Lom & Kathi"
not a must watch drama..but good to have your 1st try on Thai lakorn if you are the gal who loves to day dream just like me :P

My LAOS - Final

Day 5 & 6 Vientiane

Our last stop in Laos, the capital city of Laos - Vientiane. Reason why i picked the previous 2 places to visit before Vientiane was because I wish to experience the real side of Laos before come to the city and secondly, the geography of the location.
Arrived in Vientiane at about noon time as well under the hot sun, the bus has stopped at somewhere unknown to us and we have to carry our luggages to look for accommodation. Imagine, carrying luggage and walk along the streets of the city during noon time wasn't cool at all! But yet we did manage to find a place to stay eventually. Thanks God..

Finally we have reached the center of the city - Vientiane, Laos

Not sure what is this building. hehe..

This is the memorial of King Chai Chetta Thiraja. In old time, this ground was used for the royal ceremonies.

 Pray pray..$$ come come..

Mission accomplished! I have stepped my foot into the Kingdom of Lan Xang!

Way to climb to the top of the Patuxay

One of the side view from top of Patuxay

 Wat Thom.

Night scene of Vientiane city. Not bad though..this is the place where I can actually taste on the local delicacies.

Especially this one! Laos ppl call it "Tummy". Not sure will our stomach turn to be tummy after this food? LOL... was having "Tummy" while drinking the Lao Beer... **Cheers**

Our last POI visit - Buddha park. A park filled with variety of Buddha statues which carved by Laos artist. Amazing works done by amazing ppl.

The tiny me~

My last bye bye dish in Laos.

Preparing to check -in and go home!

Rating: Overall i would rate this trip for 6/10. There many places and corner of Laos i have yet to visit. I should have stay for more longer than merely this 6 days trip. Anyhow, I did not regret to choose Laos as one of my travel destination list. ^^
**few local words i have learnt from Laos: Korp Jai (Thank you), Sabaidee (hello), others....can't recall =P
- The End -

My LAOS - part3

Day 3 Luang Prabang - Van Vieng
We took off from LP and continue our journey to Van Vieng. Another place where best describe the reclusive Laos people. This place is actually well known for its cave canoeing and other exciting water activities. Approx 6 hours to take us to VV from LP (this is because the bus will stop by at every pass by "station" to embark or disembark passengers). So by the time we arrived at VV was almost 12-1 in the afternoon.
We picked up a stay in Malayni's Guesthouse and start to explore the wonders of VV.

This is the well know river set behind our guesthouse. simply relaxing..

These are the Chalets in VV.

The VV street. I think the time we visit the Laos wasn't the peak season for tourism during May-Sept every of the year due to its rainy season in Laos.

Nothing much activities we can have in VV except for the enjoyment of tranquility in VV. We experienced the night life in VV and the atmosphere was still peaceful. What you will come across in VV will definitely a pure dash smile from the locals. I like Laos, but i like the Laos ppl more than the land. Their simplicity is the thing i always eager to possess.

Stay tuned...

My LAOS - Part2

Day 2 in LP,

1st thing to welcome early in the morning - France style Roti.. hehe..not that delicious but good to have a try.

Disembarked at the small village while we were on the way to the Buddha Cave.

Their village..

After the long river boat journey, here we are - Buddha Cave (there were many little tiny buddha statues which left for more than few hundred yrs ago)

Day 2 ended. ** can't really recall what happened after the Buddha cave visit.. should've been go off for lunch then lingered around the tiny LP town til the sun set down.

Stay tune...

My LAOS

Since most of my pics are stored in other PC, lets go for a ride to Laos in this post =p My motto of live is to see thru, walk thru, pass thru every corner around the globe, imprint my foot steps to the places i want to visit. 19th May started my journey to the Kingdom of Lan Xang - LAOS.

3.15pm flight with AirAsia, departed punctually with great weather condition.

The book i bought to ease my boredom along the journey.

Landed Laos Internation Airport with poor weather condition. Cloudy all the way...

The marks of VL's arrival in Lao.P.D.R

A glimpse of the internal view of Laos International Airport. Simple yet peaceful~

After reclaim our luggage and exchanged the local currencies, we hired a taxi to go to the Vientiane Bus Terminal and prepare to depart to the north part of Laos - Luang Prabang.

The bus we took off for Luang Prabang. We were actually purchased an air-conditioned express bus but it seemed not in the picture where we were expected. Their so-called air-conditioned is actually referring to the nature air/wind to blow in when the bus is running on the road. =.=''

Finally we have reached the destination after 12 hours long journey!
Early in the morning and the fresh air is everywhere~

Were on the way to Luang Prabang town to look for our 3 days 2 nites stay. Monks wake up early in the morning to start their alms from the local residents every day.

Villa guesthouse Philaylack as our 3 days 2 nites accommodation

Sort of Muzium building in the LP town. . Solely quiet without external disturbances.

This is the Bodhi tree I used to climb for 100++ staircase with my empty stomach. But it's worth to have a glance

1st day in LP - Elephant Farm. A place where we can play with the elephants along the river and bath for the creatures. A place to have fun by playing the flying fox in the forest. Not really exciting but better than nowhere to play~ playful me..

Was waiting my turn for the Elephant ride.

My first time to bath with the baby elephant. It was very active and naughty to splash the water to all of us..haha.. see, it was having self enjoyment in the river like no others. Lol..

Impressed by the serenity view along the Mekong river and this is the place i had my first taste of pure local Mango juice! Juicy Juicy..

Stay tuned......
